BODY AND APPEARANCE

1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Canon height is 5'5" or 165 cm! She's of a slimmer build, not being particularly curvy or heavyset, but she has a decent amount of muscle on her after having been trained in swordsmanship for most of her life.

2. How old is she?

18.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?

Her posture is impeccable, back always straight and poised. Pretty much what you'd expect out of a nobility-raised princess.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

Perfectly fit and in shape, if not even more so after having traveled across the world and fought her share of foes along the way. She has no illnesses, but by being the Child of the Full Moon, her body itself utilizes a special type of formula when using healing artes that bypasses the need for blastia. As cool as it is to not need a blastia, this isn't a good thing for the world at large.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Graceful, fluid, and with the poised dignity one woul expect of a princess. The only time she becomes awkward is in more casual, "normal" situations re: poking Yuri's hand instead of giving him a high-five. She gets better about that kind of stuff over time though.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?

She's quite pretty, and likely on the more attractive side considering she actually manages to seduce a guard just by wearing revealing clothing. Estelle probably sees herself as a little more plain, if not just odd--it's acknowlegded that pink hair isn't common, and she envies Judith's bust size.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

On the lighter side of complexion, although she's probably become more tan after having traveled so much. She has no visible scars, considering that she's almost completely covered up save for her face.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.

Pink and short; it goes just about an inch past her chin. Possibly due to STYLISTIC ART or the camera angle, but her hair looks a little longer in the front than in the back. She parts her bangs to her right side.

9. What color are her eyes?

A green-blue just barely leaning more towards green.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Have you seen those shoulder pauldron things? What is up with that I mean really.

11. What are her chief tension centers?

I still don't know what exactly a chief tension center is I'm sorry.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?

FORMAL. What else could you expect out of someone who lived in a castle all her life? Even her more "travel-appropriate" outfit is formal and near bordering on impractical if not for the pants. Given her costumes, she seems to prefer pastels and light colors. Whites, pale yellows, lavenders accented with darker purples. She dresses very conservatively, her arms especially almost always being covered up, save for her swimsuit by virtue of being a swimsuit and her "Enchanting Belle" costume thanks to hot pants.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?

Again, considering her princess status, her clothes are likely all tailor made to fit. As long as she can run around, she seems pretty comfortable. Despite dressing conservatively most of the time, she didn't have much of a problem with wearing revealing clothing like the "Enchanting Belle" costume.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?

It depends on where she is mostly. At the castle, she wears much more elaborate dresses even when she's not doing anything particularly important. For special ocassions and whatnot, she probably has even fancier gowns, but when she's really on her down time she wears more casual clothing like her default outfit.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

How do you even answer this for a girl.

SPEECH

1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

English and Japanese voice samples! She has a fairly high-pitched voice.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?

Evenly and at a fair volume, not too quiet and not too loud. When she starts to ramble on about something or gets excited, her speed will pick up a bit.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

Vesperia doesn't really seem to have any distinguishable accents or dialects (as with most Tales games really), but befitting her background her vocabulary and sentence structure are polished and refined, never using much slang and what-have-you mostly due to not knowing any.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?

Terca Lumerian? There only seems to be one language in use on Terca Lumireis currently. There is a kind of ancient language that Estelle uses to name the spirits, and she's likely studied up on it a lot and knows meaningful words, but not enough to be fluent.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

n/a

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?

She's decent with impromptu speaking, though she'd probably do much better if given time to think over what to say.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Eloquent, very eloquent. She might stutter or trail off when she's confused or unsure, but this doesn't really change no matter the situation.

MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL

1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?

Book-smart all the way, and how could she not be given how much she reads? She's extremely lacking in street-smarts, but she learns to pick those sort of things up during the course of the game somewhat. She knows a lot about history, geography, and other sort of miscellaneous facts.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

Deliberate. She spends a good amount of the game unable to make decisions for herself quickly and firmly; this changes over time, but she definitely prefers being able to think over things rather than work on the fly.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

Despite having the makings for being more logical, she tends to follow her heart and intuition more often than not. She's a bit too naive and idealistic than what's good for her, but those get tempered with the reality of the outside world over the course of the game, although not enough to completely change those parts about her.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

The best the Empire could offer. Considering they're RICH, she's had a good one.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?

Everything, Estelle's interested in learning about everything and anything. After being shut up in a castle for eighteen years, it's not like you can really blame her. She's fascinated by the more "casual" and normal customs people have due to not being familiar at all with them. In general though, if there's something she hasn't heard of before, she's interested in learning more about it. As far as expertise goes, there's healing artes of course, and she also has something of a knack for naming things.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?

Extrovert. She loves spending time reading, but she loves talking to people just as much.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Cheerful but stubborn. Once she gets an idea in her head, she'll pursue it relentlessly unless someone gives her a reality check.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

Enthusiastic beyond belief. Again, not hard to understand given her background. The only time she wouldn't be enthusiastic is if it wouldn't be appropriate for the situation like, y'know, meeting a new enemy...

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

React. It isn't until near the end of the game that she's finally able to act fully on her own.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

Fight. She tries to fight her way out of the castle after all, and even tries to slam a vase onto Yuri's head when she thinks he's an intruder.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Puns. Word puns, word play, shitty and lame jokes involving words. Her sense of humor is somewhat limited due to a lack of real world experience though; she hasn't gotten much of a chance to develop it.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?

None. If anything she probably should have had something akin to PTSD after the ordeal with Alexei, but you'd have to leave that up to fanfiction.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?

Choosing to leave the castle by force to warn Flynn, killing Belius, pursuing Phaeroh to find out who she really is, overcoming Alexei's mind control, deciding to become a novelist, her heart-to-heart with Yuri where she realizes that to live means to make your own choices and stick with them.

14. What does she fear?

Hurting the people she loves again. After being forced against her will to fight her friends, actually being strong enough to take them all just by herself, the thought of something like that happening again probably terrifies her.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

She dreams of becoming a novelist and writing stories. After spending a long while not knowing what she really wants to do with her life, she's finally able to decide on that.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?

There isn't anything in particular she wants to hide a lot, but she tends not to bring up 1) being a princess since it's not something in particular she cares about, and 2) the ordeal with Alexei since they're not exactly fond memories.

RELATIONSHIPS

1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.

Both of her parents are deceased. There's no information regarding her father, but Estelle thinks of her mother very fondly despite not remembering her well.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

No siblings, but she has a distant cousin by the name of Ioder. They get along amicably, and she's happy for him when he's chosen to become Emperor.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?

No other known relatives aside from the previous Emperor, but even then we don't know what exactly her relation was to him. She likely isn't a direct descendant.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?

The members of Brave Vesperia are more or less her family. She loves them all a lot, and they're more important to her than anyone else. Out of all of them, Yuri is the most important, having shown her the way to the outside world; he only continued to help her grow as a person from there, letting her make her own choices and subtly guiding her.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

Rita Mordio. They met in Aspio for... Probably looking for the fucking blastia thief, I honestly don't remember anymore. She was excited to finally be able to make a friend that was around her age.

6. Does she have other close friends?

BRAVE VESPERIA HOLLA. Flynn Scifo is also very important to her; he's likely her first actual friend.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?

Have you seen how cute and sociable she is? Making friends is a piece of cake for her!! But really, she gets along well with people and easily, no matter what kind of person they are. Even Raven and he's shady as fuck.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?

Her friends are her family, so.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?

Single all her life. She probably would have had an arranged marriage or something of the sort if she succeeded as Empress, but that life isn't for her.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

No.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?

Her first crush was probably some dashing figure in a romance novel lbr here. Latest? Depends on how you view her relationship with Yuri I MEAN--

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?

Honestly she probably hasn't thought about things like romance in a while, so who knows. As long as she could get along with them she'd work from there.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?

No, n/a, n/a.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?

Plenty, but that's more by virtue of being a protag in a JRPG. Phaeroh was definitely a direct and personal enemy for a while, as was Alexei.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?

2 or 3 probably.

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?

Sex is something she was given a strict and tight-lipped education on and something she could only read about in novels if she snuck her way around the library. It's not important to her at all at this point.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

N/A?!?!?!

BELIEFS

1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?

She has no canon birthday to determine these signs, but I'd peg her for an Aries or Aquarius with Western astrology and Rabbit for the Chinese zodiac.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?

Religion doesn't seem ro have much of a role in Vesperia; if there even is a widely practiced one, there's not much mention of it aside from a generic goddess. Given her role in the creation of spirits, I guess you could say Estelle is more "spiritual", but in the end she's not really either. She accepts the world as she sees it and continues to have faith, hope, and love. Gods and higher beliefs don't really have a place in that.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

Yes... Somewhat. She starts off with a more black-and-white view of morality, but being friends with Yuri (i.e. VIGILANTE JUSTICE) meant that wouldn't last for long. While she herself probably wouldn't be able to bring herself to do anything so drastic for the sake of "being good" or "justice", she understands that things can get complicated and that sometimes there's no true right or wrong, just two opposing forces that both believe they're doing what's best. Since she has a more loose view on it than others, I'm not sure what would really compromise it.

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from his? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

Tolerant and mostly curious. She wouldn't pry if the other party didn't like talking about it, but given the opportunity she'd ask about it out of curiosity.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?

None, really. Maybe she starts off with a few regarding the poor, but she's so naive she really learns about these kinds of things along the way more than anything.

DAILY LIFE

1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

She's a princess in line for inherting the throne, of course she's rich!! During the course of the game she doesn't have access to that money though, so she spends most of it either poor or comfortable enough to sleep at an inn.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?

Estelle is a princess, always has been, and only stops being one once Ioder inherits the throne. Even then though, she'll probably always be treated as royalty. Her status has had direct control over most of her life in all honesty. She lived the first eighteen years of her life basically stuck in the castle in Zaphias, never being allowed to step outside.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?

Her home literally IS a castle at first... It's not until the end of the game that she has a permanent home again though, and that's located in Halure. We don't get to see what it actually looks like, but it's likely much more modest and homely than the castle in Zaphias. And she likes it like that! Estelle probably enjoys a cozier, closer way of living than the grandeur she's had for so long. She keeps it in good condition in case she ever has guests (which can be often), but for the moment she lives alone.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?

When she can, more indulgent items like comfier pillows or warmer blankets. She knows it's a luxury, but she wouldn't want to give up all the perks she was used to having.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?

Writing! She enjoys it a lot, and it's more or less her dream job. There isn't anything else in the world that she would rather do. She must be good at it if she can make a living off of it honestly, and have you seen Tales of Vesperia? It'd make for one interesting novel that's for sure.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?

Writing, reading, listening to new stories, etc. If it involves books, she's in. Other hobbies include gardening, learning how to cook, and things she probably had to pick up out of necessity like patching and mending clothes.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

She doesn't like sukiyaki LMAO... Aside from that though she isn't a picky eater by any means. As for habits though, she eats three meals a day when she can, full meals that aren't too light nor too heavy but just enough to fill.
